It's black / black stain ... the "drizzle" design. if you look close you can just barely see that it's not flat black :D

So far, I only have the picture given to me from Guitar Center since I can't seem to get a good picture of it but I have to say, it's in great shape. The sales guy said there were a bunch of marks on the back but it must be the natural finish because you really have to look close to see any kind of nick on this thing. I can't believe how light it is compared to my Euro 5LX too.

I love the feel of the neck but it does need a bit of work. Even though they told me it had an Aguilar OBP-1 in it, it looks like there is an older non-trim pot Tone Pump in it so I am going to probably get a newer one since they are so cheap. Also, the B string doesn't seem as "thunderous" as the one on my Euro 5LX but that could be due to bad or dead strings. I have a set of DR Lo Riders that will get installed so I will see what I think after I install those. Also, the pots seem to crackle a bit when turning them so I am not sure if they need to be cleaned or if it is something else.

These things are fairly minor though and for the price I paid for it, I am not complaining. It definitely has a different sound than the Euro 5 and that is not a bad thing at all. I will be playing around with it all night so once I mess with it more, I can definitely have a better feel for it.

Man! What a difference a newer set of strings will do for a bass. The strings that came on this Rebop were just completely dead but luckily I had a set of DR Hi Beams laying around so I strung the Rebop with those and this thing just came to life! I have my thunderous B string back and I am really loving this bass.

The EMG HZ pickups do give it a different sound and I know I mentioned that I wanted to rip them out even before trying them but I think I am going to leave them in. I do plan on installing the newer tonepump with the trim pot and then I should be set.

I've never seen the black bass with white strings... I think its pretty cool... I have a black les Paul that I put a white pup in and I still plan on converting all the hardway to white.... I'll have to look for white strings

I think this is an Perfomer DLX model with a figured maple top

I think the bass would look great with Red Strings :bassist:

Has anyone tried Sadowsky Blue Label Steel strings? I just put a set on my Euro 4LX today and I am very pleased with the feel and tone. Similar to Hi Beams in tone with more mid range growl. The tension is a bit tighter then Hi Beams but not as tight as LoRiders which is what I was looking for.
