I love my EURO 5XL with the BQC. I prefer the treble setting the same way. I also have the tappable pickups.
The Legends have been made of solid maple for about two years now. Maple body, quilt maple top.
The six string models weigh a bunch. Very solid.
And Blue Flame in Wisconsin IS an authorized SPECTOR dealer. They've also got 100% positive feedback on Ebay.
It's a legit listing.

Weird...I just looked and didn't see it either...anyways, after adjusting the neck relief, string action, intonation...I adjust the pups to where they are a credit cards thickness from the strings. I actually use a credit card for this. If you find this too hot due to your style of playing I.e. Slapping, then you'll want to lower the pups some. Hope this helps.

I'll put it on tonight and get a snapshot. I think it looks cool without it, but personally (and I know it's heresy to say such) but I totally dig the "SSD" logo and that "Stuart Spector Design" font/script.

The pickup height on my Rebob is some 3/16. But thats mainly because I have no Idea on how to adjust the angle of the pickups to match the angle of the strings!
Any help here?
Way too close. You'll damage the pickup cover and possibly your amp if your strings hit the pickups too often.

i think the pickup thing you're talking about might be from exposed pole pickups like on fenders where you get a pop when you touch the strings to them.. however i never heard of them damaging an amp.

Dan from Between the Buried and Me plays an NS 2000/5 on all the albums hes been on (Alaska onwards).
Thats the tone that got me hooked on Spector, and that model ahaha, thats why I bought it
Yeah, him and Arif got me hooked on Spector. It's just that Dan is really convincing me to downsize.
He plays with a very light touch though. I've yet to hear the aggressive style Arif has on a Legend or NS2000/5

Here are my two Legends! One has SGD pickups and Audere pre, and I like the sound so much, that I hope to upgrade the other too. Really GAS'ing for a Euro 5 in Blueburst, though!

Lol ! Let me be more specific. It damages speakers and will lead to a shorter speaker life.You're right about the exposed pole pieces causing that problem. I'm still prgrammed about avoiding that.Even still, l don't want to risk having my strings hit plastic or not being able to perform well onstage because I can't move around freely.
