I just ordered an EMG BQC for my Rebop 5 ! With the sweepable mids and treble selection at 2.1k, getting a good reggae tone should be no problem!

New ones are going to be Maple!?!? When do they start coming out!?
Session1969 said:I looked for Jimmys advice on adjusting the pickups and couldn't find it. Would you fill me in ? The strings on my Rebop 5 measure 5mm above my pups.
x1000Credit card thickness? How light do you play? That's what I use for neck relief....
Way too close. You'll damage the pickup cover and possibly your amp if your strings hit the pickups too often.

Dan from Between the Buried and Me plays an NS 2000/5 on all the albums hes been on (Alaska onwards).
Thats the tone that got me hooked on Spector, and that model ahaha, thats why I bought it![]()
Glad to see another NS-95. I am loving mine. They are great basses.
too close? pick ups do go lower too you know..
i think the pickup thing you're talking about might be from exposed pole pickups like on fenders where you get a pop when you touch the strings to them.. however i never heard of them damaging an amp.
where is this info coming?![]()
I am #207. Here is my Spector....Her name is Kim Chi, and I love her.![]()

Sounds like an opportunity to own a fine instrument.Never played a Spector bass but saw this on Craigslist today:
Spector Euro LX bass w/ Spector hardcase - $950
Seems like a good deal!
