A powerful bass isn't it?! When I first received my Rebop 5 I didn't realize how to setup the pickups...after reading the setup tech tips from "Jimmy Eppard". Before, the pickups were set about as low as they could go. After I set them as Jimmy recommended...WOW! The Rebop came alive!!! :D
The neck doesn't come close though to my NS-2A. Oooooooooh... :D

I do also own a Euro 5LX and while the differences in quality and sound are obvious, I still prefer the Legends in most settings.
Something about the neck and feel of the Legends that just sits right with me.

Im also planning on getting another Korean, the NS 2JA-R. As well as a Legend X sometime in the future So dont worry about the Koreans dude. Theyre all fine by us!

We may not talk about them much, but for a lot of us theyre our number one go to workhorses.

I've always wonder about the Q pro bass...I see them now and then on GC FS but never heard anything about them on here. First time this thread. Nice!

They don't have that curve ns style body like the legend line but still very comfortable and I could comp that Spector growly tone. I actually still sorta have mines. My dad is the owner now. It's actually nice to have a Spector if I visit them lol

Call Spector customer support tomorrow morning and give them your serial #. They should be able to help you. Or give you an era.

I looked for Jimmys advice on adjusting the pickups and couldn't find it. Would you fill me in ? The strings on my Rebop 5 measure 5mm above my pups.

From appointments alone (double S logo and not SSD, EMG's, probably an EMG BT preamp, solid flamed maple body, dull finish on the bridge) it's definitely mid-1990's to very early 2000's. It looks like the knobs aren't original though. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think 2002 is when the switch over to the Euro 4 and 4LX began to occur. So we can narrow it down to a range of 5-6 years for ya. If you want more specific than that, talk to the good folks at Spector but generally speaking, it doesn't really matter. All that matters is you have a very sweet NS5CRFM on your hands and a $600-$700 price tag is very suitable for a bass in that condition.

What dates did you have posted and why is the Craigslist peanut gallery heckling you?

Euro4 & 5's started in 2001. This bass was between 1999 and 2001 (35" scale, inlays, serial stamped inside cavity, etc.).

I had 90-95, that's why. Somebody with three spectors. I admit I charged too much, but it was worth a shot.







It appears I lost the auction on an amber legend 5. Can anybody verify the validity of this?

Something doesn't seem right. The price. I know spector had some counterfeit. Though it does seem to be a trust seller --- no pictures of the actual bass.
