V6,

Thanks for the response... and by the other posts as well, it seems I wasn't the only person interested in the SpectorCore, just the only one to open their yapper about it. :D If this "sit-in" leads to a regular gig I'm certainly not going to be taking my beloved Taylor AB-2 out on a weekly basis, and would want something with an acoustic "vibe" like the basses I listed, or a Rob Allen Deep 5 if I can get The Wife drunk enough to agree :rollno: Thanks for the write-up and post - it's appreciated!

~I

Still at least another week on my RXT.

That'll be (if it ships then) 6 weeks total for a clearcoat... :o Will be worth, but I mean rly?

I can only say that I'm really sorry it's taken them that long to get that done for you.

And not trying to make excuses or anything, but the weather has been so freakish with all of the snow. And then Stuart and everyone has been through the flu/colds and stuff.

Plus they don't do that sort of work at the shop. It goes out to a specialist... who does all of the shop's gloss coat work. So some of the delay could have to do with what's happening in that company's shop... which is also in Woodstock.

It's been a difficult couple of months.

I know they appreciate your patience. And you're gonna love that bass.

Yeah I'm not totally complaining, just venting a lil bit! :D
Esp b/c I was quoted 1-1.5 weeks like Feb. 4, so at March 1 we're still at the same timetable, and if there's a delay that's cool- just lemme know! I was hoping to have it in by this weekend so I could track with it and now I gotta have Brownie reset for that as I'll be using her instead.
Like I said, no biggie, but this is about the coolest toy I've ever gotten so each day just multiplies in pain on top of the other! :D

I'll be honest, I rarely talk to the shop. Stuart and crew have been so slammed with bad weather, sick days and the lot that I know they are killing themselves to catch up. If it makes you feel any better, the NS-2 I ordered the week after NAMM, they haven't even started it yet. So 6-8 weeks of a wait after they start.

The stuff I talk to PJ about (which is every day once or twice a day) has to do with the website updates, etc... I really have no idea what's going on with the production stuff.

Again, I know how you feel. I'm trying to not even THINK about that NS-2. Because it might be July or August until I finally get it. And I can wait... it's no biggie. I'd rather them get things done for other people first.

Sorry you've had such a wait.

I know what your'e talkin about!
My NS 5H2 is at least two more weeks from beeing finished.
And then it has to be shipped all the way to Germany...
It's gonna be a loooooooooong wait.

Oh, btw: does anyone know how Spector ships Basses tu Europe?

Shipping is handled out of the Workshop by Jo Ann. You can always send an email to [email protected] and ask the specifics.

I really don't know. In the USA they use FedEx for 1-2 day deliveries (if you order something and need it right away) and they use UPS Ground for everything else. I do know that as many basses as they've shipped to me and visa-versa.

I have no idea about overseas. Sorry!
