Tell me that pricetag is NOT what you paid for that bass...

Back in the club!
I just scored a wicked deal on a genuine Made in the USA gloss black Spector NS2 (built 30.29.1989 during the Kramer years). Somebody was asleep at the wheel when they priced this one!
I just have to wait for a month before it's in my hands.

How is the neck on that? I've heard the Kramer era made them a little smaller and more like a Jazz, which is what the Wimbish Sigs are like. Not that there's tons of pre-Kramers floating around to compare to, anyway...![]()
I don't have it in my hands yet, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be thinner than what I am used to. The Euro NS4 (with dots) I used to own had a pretty beefy neck. My old Kramer NS2A was a little thinner, but the thinnest I've had was a Euro 4CRFM (with crown inlays). Phatbasstard has that one now. It had an unusually thin neck profile for a Spector. I hope this one is similar.
Yeah, I saw that the other day. I knew it was a screw up. Congratulations! Why do have to wait a month?Well, ... they had to add the tax.![]()

Hope you don't get this call from Guitar Center later today:Ya, GC has been a little off the past while. I saw a used Rebop 4DLX (Zebra top) there for $499 earlier in the week. It was gone before I could get any more information on it.
When I saw this one this morning (the square corners on the bridge told me it probably wasn't a Euro as advertised) I jumped on it. When I was speaking with the salesman, you could almost her the alarm bells going off in his voice. When I asked if there was writing on the back of the headstock he paused and had to ask someone else in the store if it really said made in the USA (as if he couldn't believe his eyes). When I asked about the serial number the first words out of his mouth were ... "Wow, that's a really low number". I was really hoping it was pre-Kramer, but I think it's still a pretty good deal![]()
Can anyone tell me of a good outlet(low price) to buy gold knobs and hardware for my Spector Legend 4 please? Thanks!
Well,
I didn't win the one I bid on on the bay, but I picked up a SSD NS4CR in trans red in the classifieds.
Here she is

I am pretty excited about it. Been wanting a Spector since I first saw one. I'm sure it will be awesome.
Best,
Justin
