Spector Euro 4 LX V. Spector NS-4CR

So, what I've been hearing lately is that there isn't much of a difference between Euro LX and the Ns-4CR. Right now I have the option of purchasing an NS-4CR that is about 10 years old or waiting for a used Euro LX to come up on eBay or the Craigslist. Should I wait for the Euro LX or is the differnece between the two basses (specifically in the sound they emit) so small that I might as well get the NS-4CR?

well the Euro has the TonePump boost-only circuit while the ns4cr most likely will have the emg bts (2band) circuit installed which I personally prefer.

maple is more punchy than alder, which is another reason.
maple feels twice as heavy. my ns4cr is around 4.8 kg, which basically knocks your shoes off, but I played weddings with 3x3h nonstop playing and I didn't find it uncomfy with a good belt.

A used, "broken-in" spector is the best you can get imho, that's how I fell in love with them to be honest.

If the CR has the EMG preamp, go for it! It's way better sounding than the Tonepump. The alder does warm up the sound of the Euro somewhat, but I think it's negligible.
