Spector Euro 5 - B String Nut Slot to High?

I just got this brand new Spector Euro 5 and it's awesome. It does seem to me that the B string is sitting too high in the nut and I wanted to confirm my suspicion. See pictures and let me know what you think. The largest feeler gauge I have is .025 and it goes under the first fret with plenty of room to spare.

If the slot is too shallow, normally I'd probably just buy a 130 nut file and bring it down some but this is a brass nut and I'm not sure if I can use the same kind of file or even if it's something I should attempt. Should I take it to the guitar shop instead?

I believe the Fender spec is 0.018-0.022” so yes, you’re in there. Some of my stuff I can get a little lower but if you go too low you’re stuck. If you’re happy with the way it’s playing that’s the main thing.
Yes, before it definitely felt like I had to apply to much pressure to fret down toward the nut but after setting the witness point, it feels fine. You may have saved me from filing that slot too low. :-)
