Has anyone here had any personal experience with one? I would really like to know, I am thinking about picking up a used one from the GC website, but wanted to hear some testimonials first.

Spector Guitars

I've always thought they were beautiful and they look comfortable. Only seen one in person years ago at a concert and it sounded great (Skid Row opening for Pantera if I remember). If you play it and like it and it's afforrdable then why not go for it? Is this a neck-through or a bolt on? US or Japanese? I'm not sure if they were made elsewhere but I've seen OLP guitars shaped like the Spectors. One cool aspect is they are uncommon guitars; you're not likely going to come accross another one for sale for a long time. Unless the Utah market was flooded with them that is.
I think they look great, I plan on buying just one of the cheaper ARC6 Pro's in the online used gear section of GC, about $250. I could always swap out the pickups, if I didn't like the sound. Wood construction has always been top notch from Spector.
My brother Pat has a prototype Spector guitar. They built a few one year in the mid 90s for a NAMM show that yet another brother of mine named Peter went to. Peter worked at Veneman Music with Spector's own PJ Rubal, so he got a hold of a few of the NAMM prototypes. It's a great guitar, Pat still loves it and plays it as his main electric to this day. Made in Korea I believe. FANTASTIC look on stage. Very unique.
