Spector Legend 4

how does it stack up compared to other basses in its price range.
can't seem to find any in my local shops.
can someone pease compare the tone?
i need a really good kindof bassy warm slaptone (musicman style)
and how thin is the neck?
and whats your favorite color option?
any help would be much appreciated!

havn't played one, but a spector legend 4 can be found Invalid Link Removed in black cherry finish.

I think the Legends are great basses, but you need to try before you buy to be sure its for you. They generally have a hifi sounding tone and suit slap well. I found the neck reasonble, not jazz thin but not Warwick thick.

And my personal preference is the amber colour .

Great value, reasonably chunky neck, great slap tone but clanky sounding if you are looking for driving warmth and thump. From experience I can tell you that the spector tone is extremely hot, which isn't for everyone. I love it personally, but you need to make sure that the sound of the emgs fits your type of music (typically used for any kind of slap, also very popular in heavy metal) of course, there isn't a set mold, and if you like the sound, you can't beat the value. Plus, there isnt a better looking bass than a spector...just ask hans peter wilfer

I don't own a Spector, but I'd like one. Every one I've played sounded good. I haven't played one with flatwounds on it but I'm sure that would up the warmth & thump. They're just well made. Who's Hans Peter Wilfer?
