Spector legend vs Rockbass

Whats a better mid priced growly funk / rock / jazz kind of bass for rockbass im mainly lookling at the streamer and the one with dual jazz based pickups. So far im liking the warwicks wood more i hear there necks aint too comfy. they both have 2 way eq preamps as well.

which in genreal plays and sounds better

I looked at both and ended up with a Spector, much better bass all round.

Yeah they are pretty similiar the streamer is close to the same shape too

legend custom has a 3 band pre. I was going to get a legend custom, but ended up with a much more expensive ESP/LTD JM500

Spector's budget line stays slightly more true to the spector tone while rockbass only resembles an actual warwick because of the wood differences IMO.

I played both and bought the Spector
the Rockbass sounds nowhere near close to an actual Streamer or Corvette for that matter
they are good solid basses but do not have the 'Wick tone
the Spector is a tad bit closer to its more expensive cousins the craftsmanship is pretty good. My only niggle was that the quilted top wasn't quite bookmatched but most of the tops I have seen are off by a few centimeters....

I have since sold the Spector not because of quality or sound but because the 35 inch scale length wasn't for me and my small hands but I do remember the tone being quite monumental compared to my passives
man I kinda miss active eqs...doh!!!

I would go with the spector.

I used a rockbass yesterday to try out an amp and it was not comfortable at all. Their necks are basically as thick as it gets and is not comfortable at all.

If your going to go Warwick then go for the higher up models, not the rockbasses.

If you want nice basses with active eqs in that ballpark
you should look into the Rockbass and the Spector as well as the MTD Kingstons
