Spector NS-2JA

Just picked up a Spector NS-2JA reissue. Loving this bass. Actually has great EMG's in it. Weird thing though...there's no serial # anywhere on it. It should be on back of headstock. Either I have a fugazi or something even more rare.

you're sure it's a reissue? mine, and the others i've seen, have everything on the back of the headstock.

You guys are going to laugh. So basically since I was so thrown off by the serial number issue with my new Spector, I went back to Sam Ash. I actually exchanged the Spector for a Warwick Corvette $$ 4. A very sweet sounding bass with lots of tonal possibilities. 2 passive MEC humbuckers with active preamp. Since it's been sitting on the Sam Ash peg hook for so long I swapped out the battery and am going to get a new set of strings on it with a good setup. I really went apples and oranges here. I really loved the sound of the dual EMG J bass pickups in the Spector as they were fully active....but I think the passive pups with active preamp will allow for more versatile playing. Not to mention the bass is beautiful to look at. HEHEHE

Yeah, not sure we're laughing with you though. I mean, a $$ for a Spector?
