spector question

i'm looking at a 5 string spector euro series , for 600 bucks, but the neck has quite a big crack in it , right by the nut  it is a bolt on neck, so i'm just wondering where i would go about getting a replacement neck , just call up the factory or what? also any ideas on how much a replacement neck would cost?

go to the Spector club the guys there will know for sure and will be glad to help you.. sounds like a rebop you are looking at they are great basses.see if you can go a little cheaper for the bass IMO

If it's the one on eBay, you can haggle a better deal than $600 ;)

And a qualified luthier should be able to repair the neck for ~$100, that's what Eric Chaz quoted me for the one on eBay.

The European bolt ons are called ReBops and are made in a factory in the Czech republic. You could contact Spector themselves and see if they can price up a replacement neck from there, or get a luthier to repair it for you.
