Spector RST?

Im considering a 5 string RST. Anyone with direct knowledge have helpful insights?
Worried that it may be tonally low end deficient. Im not concerned with weight.
Ive never tried those super double pickups.
Any thoughts?

One of the better Spector basses ever (I own 27 Spectors !). Mine is pink , and I added a 3 band Glockenklang preamp plus gold hardware and gloss finish . It is killer now, but it sounded great from the beginning . Buy it if you can ! You can't go wrong ; the pickups are super punchy with plenty of low End.
I would only check if the string spacing on a 5 is good for you . I was going to buy the 5 but the slap tone of the 4 string I could not resist !

I bought a 4 string last year. I love it! There is plenty of low end when you turn the bass knob. One drawback is that there is no passive mode.

Low end deficient? I'm guessing you aren't familiar with Aggie preamps. I have a couple OBP-2's and an OBP-3. (The 2's are Spectors.) They are very much "a little goes a long way" in the low end boost department.

For me, the low end issue is more about not getting "boomy" or "artificial" but never about being deficient.

Very true. I only need to turn the bass knob slightly past the center detent to get plenty of bass boost.
