It's not very acoustic is the answer. I suppose it's an equivelant to a Gibson 335 for acouticness. It is a lovely bass though. The Fishman pup in the bridge gives it a lovely sound which is just right for the jazz I play it in. I don't really use the mag pup much.

I don't think bronze strings would work too well with the mag pup. They would probably do fine with the bridge pup though. I've tried all sorts of strings on it, flatwound, halfwound, black nylon, but I've settled with TI Jazz Flats. They give me just the sound I want.

You can get any volume you want out of it. Just turn the amp up. Worth a try if you can find one.
