The Spector NS-94 is a very nice bass, very well built. Yes, originally they had the EMG BTS pre, Spector branded SSD or EMG HZ pickups which both are passive pickups, 16" radius fretboard which is standard on all Spectors unless otherwise custom ordered as one member here did just recently, control knobs v,v,b,t. Standard tuning, 35" scale. I'm using a balanced tension set. 45,60,80,107,145.
Love it. I had a fretless jazz bass made of ebony and Walnut. Grover tuners put on the neck. I don't change my strings too often and it took 18 years to notice a screw missing from the g tuner.
Just an FYI...
The order frequency for HAZ clone preamps has diminished to the point that it's becoming difficult to maintain a regular supply of the 'hard to find' parts I need to build them at the current price point. As such, I will no longer be producing the BGP-3S every 6 months or so in the usual batches of 10. I have some parts remaining on hand to build a half dozen more of each of the 2-band and 3-band versions. After those have been built and sold, I will be operating on a special order basis - assuming of course that the parts I need can still be sourced in the future.
Here's the latest version of the 3-band preamp manual if anyone needs more info:

Well, I need a quick and unbiased advice. Should I trade my Warwick Thumb BO 97. for Spector Rebop 5 DLX? And why yes or no? Please, it's urgent.
If it feels right in your hands and sounds right to your ears, I vote for yes.

From a strictly economic view, it depends.
What would your Thumb fetch on an out right sale?
Compare that with the fact that Rebops sometimes pop up cheap,
you may be better off selling your Thumb and just buying the Rebop.
I second the idea that this is probably not the best venue for unbiased advice on Warwicks vs. Spectors.
Years ago, I had two different Warwicks. Good basses, but in my opinion, tonally lacking compared to any of the Spectors I've owned. I like the Spector growl a lot better than what I was getting from my old Warwicks. I feel like the bodies are more balanced and the necks, specifically on the ReBops, Euros and NS2as I've played are faster and more comfortable than any of the necks I've played on Warwicks. Bodies were more comfortable too.
The Thumbs are awesome basses. ReBops are awesome too. Depending on which Thumb model it is, you'd probably come out financially better in a situation where you could sell the Thumb and buy the ReBop. Especially, if you want to customize the ReBop at all (ie, swapping preamps, etc).
Is there a Hipshot Ultralite that will work on my Euro 5 ? I want to swap my hardware to black.
I’ve emailed Hipshot directly with that question when I get my basses. They get back to me within 24 hrs usually. Sometimes I have to send a pic of what is in place.
Personally, I'd much rather the Spector. But I am known to be partial.
But you are comparing Bolt-Ons. And I have not had much experience with Bolt-Ons from Warwick or Spector. I am a fan of the neck thru models or even the set necks (I do have a Warwick Infinity SE). I'd maybe suggest trying a Neck thru model just to compare the differences. It just may be something you'd find to your liking. Just an idea.
Actualy, this is my oportunity to trade Warwick for a Spector. Problem is that nearly everybody on this forum shows some "unhealthy" worship of Spectors, totaly biased, like those near to fanatic P-bass worshipers. So, it is hard to find some objective opinion, because on the Warwick forum opinions on that topics are totaly oposite.

What a surprise LOL. Your only helper is your hands and ears. I like NS-bodied basses so for me Warwick Streamers are ok since they are Spector copies but as for Thumb bass i could never understand their ergonomics AFAIK most of them are neck heavy especoally bolt-ons.
