Whats the diff ? , one " better ' than the other . All I remember was i saw a California series one once and it had closed back tuners on it ...yuk .

sQUIER AFFINITY AND CALIFORNIA DIFFERENCES ?

Im in New Zealand , maybe its an issue here only ? Still an Indonesian Squier I think
Okay, well, there is a current Indonesian Squier line which includes the Classic Vibe and Vintage Modified models, and they put the Affinity series to shame.
Indeed, almost anything puts the Affinity series to shame. The Affinity line is the lowest of the low in terms of quality control and quality build. Every one I've seen and played was pure junk that would require much time and effort to fix. I even steer my beginner students away from the Affinity.
However, I think the Affinity line is manufactured in Indonesia too. So be careful, do some more research before you buy sight-unseen.
We also get Squier Affinity and California series here in Argentina.
And I also always wonder what is the difference between them. Price is similar on both.
