Found a used Ibanez GSR200 for $95 at guitarcenter.. I found a listing for a nice Squier Precision Bass for $110 on cl site... I am torn what the better I was told to stay after from the Affinity and wanted to know the reasons for this or is it better to save a few bucks and get the used Ibanez? Looking to buy today as I think both look like a good deal help for the new guy?

Squier Affinity Precision Bass vs USED IBANEZ GSR200 ?

They're both fine first as first instruments, $110 is a little high for an Affinity though. See if you can talk the craiglist seller down to 80 cash (or maybe even as little as $50, especially if it's banged up) and spend the leftover cash toward a new set of strings and a setup.

Get the Squier but your getting hosed paying more than $80, plus it's probably going to need a setup and new strings. You can buy them new for $150 Canadian, I buy them regularly for 50-75, if I pay 75 it usually comes with the amp too.
