How can one differentiate when purchasing a bass body only?

I've got a neck kicking around that I'd like to meld with a CV P body.

Look at the product offerings for telltale signs like available or past finishes? I don't think there's a database of markings or anything for Squier bodies and necks or anything like that.

Body thickness! Affinity bodies are thinner than other Fender/Squier bodies. It’s subtle, you need to hold one up to another model to spot the difference. also, I don’t know if this is true for all affinity models, but it was true for the one I had.
