Elbow grease huh? What ever it takes I guess.
Was the neck pocket still tight after removing the paint?

The only reason why I didn´t use any paint stripper was because I wanted to keep the original sealer.
I didn't remove the paint from the neck pocket, to avoid any loss of tightness

Is there an advantage to not removing the factory sealer? Just wondering.

I just got a New Musicmaster 4 Pick up from AREO pickups. It gave my muiscmaster major balls.

How much did that pickup set you back?

As far as I know... No, there is no advantage.
I just didn´t feel safe about me resealing it, I had to take it to a pro, that would take me more than a month.
Sanding was hard but it just took me 4 or 5 days of hardwork after work.

The intonation is the main problem, so if you want to use it in an actual musical situation you need a new bridge.

I use mine all the time for live shows, rehearsals and recording sessions. Mineintonates fine with original bridge.

I think we can all agree that the Squier Bronco is one of the cheapest basses out there. But I got to thinking about how much of an improvement one could make to it if you wanted to. Let's not make price an object..let's say you just won the lottery and you don't care how much you spend on modding it. Could you greatly improve a stock Bronco or is it just too cheap and have too many limitations to make a marked improvement? The only rule is that you must keep the stock body and neck...anything else is fair game.

1. Lace Dually Red/Silver -> To get the bass from red, treble from silver
2. Blend Knob, Stacked Vol/Tone
3. Hipshot .669 A bridge
4. Hipshot small tuners or Schaller M4s
5. Tortoise pickguard (on a black one)

This isn't a fantasy though, I'm doing this to my Bronco right now I have the pickguard already set up, just waiting on the pickup. I'll add the bridge and tuners later but those are the planned additions.
