I'd love to but I can't get along with the chunky necks of a 50s P bass. In fact this morning I just returned the CV 50s P Bass in sunburst I bought a week ago to GC.

The reason these are neck diving is because rosewood ringerboard = way fatter than all maple necks and basswood bodies can be pretty light... sadly even with light tuners you wouldn't be very helped. These original tuners aren't very heavy

What's the weight of the total instrument, if you happen to know?

I think it was around 8.9lbs which is pretty light, to get it closer to 8 would be awesome tho

I suggest Neotech neoprene mega bass strap. This strap do help neck dive issue on SUB Ray 5.

My previous CIC CV60P weight 9lbs sharp with pickups and bridge cover load.
Curious that how your CV60P weight .

Haha.... The CIC CV50P neck profile more chunky than Indo version.

Off topic thing.

I found that low tension bass string do help better comfort and easy fretting on chunky neck myself.

Oh, forgot mention that Gotoh re-o-rite GB640 reduce close to 10gram on each tuning machine from previous CIC tuning machine. 66grm Vs 75grm.

If your CIC CV60P still has stock pot or already replace with 6mm flower split shaft, the strat knob do help. But, I found that strat knob look better on black CV70P.
