I believe that's the James Johnston signature model. No longer available as new. Great bass, I'm happy to be the proud owner of one of those.

That's what I thought. I love that bass but it seems they're done making them.

If estimate a good price right now is between $300- $450.

I’ve seen askingnkrics for double that. Don’t know if they sold hat much.

The spec sheet for the 70s P says "Fender-Designed Split Single-Coil Precision Bass" whereas the Matt Freeman said "Custom Precision Bass split single coil pickup"
Not sure if there is any difference in reality though.

I compared my MFreeman to my buddy's Japanese P-Bass (80's) and it sounded every bit as good. Kinda made him upset.
