Are you referring to the CME exclusive models? If so I'm interested in them. Looks like on Pre-order with estimated ship date of 10/28. These are pretty cool. Love the look of both. As far as I know they will be the only CV's with ash veneer top/back.

I talked with CME's products manager and unfortunately these basses won't have the promised ash veneer treatment. They'll be popular body with no veneer. See my thread. In Europe these models are available and I already got mine

CME Product manager was sad that Squier failed to deliver what was promised. Also I also don't believe it is poplar. Mine looks like Pinr and I find it beautiful

Any recommendations. I seem to have a hard time finding the right specs as far as size and everything.

Strung with GHS 3025. Put the stock pickup back in it. Very pleased for now.
Might try a SPB-1... just for the fun of it

Are you using a little chorus with your bass or is that you playing directly with the backing track? Either way, sounds nice

Anyone have experience replacing the bridge of a CIC 2015 CV pbass body? Is redrilling the holes the only option?

These are the hipshots HB7 I used on my 2012, worked very well.
They seem to be the same as in my new Player Jazz

No chorus, recorded DI and just added a touch of compression in the DAW

It really is the way to go.
Here's mine from a couple weeks ago.
I just like the vintage Fender Bridges.
Recommend an 1/8" dowel and a #3 Vix bit.

Get yourself a #3 Vix bit.

Having a natural finish I really wanted to see what I was buying before placing the order. Well Sweetwater does a photo shoot of each individual guitar with their S/N

I was not disappointed

Congrats and enjoy, @Green Sub! I just bought myself the same bass back in June, and am very much loving it. Have modded it up a bit, and gotten it well and properly set up (there were a couple high frets to address); feels and sounds just like what I'd hope for from a Jazz.

I could be wrong (and if I am, please chime in ), but I'm pretty sure all long-scale Squier models for the past couple of decades…Standards, Vintage Modifieds and Classic Vibes…have used the same tuning machines as the MIM Fender Standards and Players. If that is indeed the case, then yeah, the Hipshot HB7 and BT7 Drop-D tuners would be the go-to replacements.

I think they're very different.

For the 1st Gen CV models; they used a Schaller type base with a longer "bar" for the cloves keys. But the plate and screw positions are the same as the Schaller tuning machines.

VM models had various keys but since 2017 they changed. Now that VM is gone, all Squier (CV Gen 2, Affinity and various Squier models) share the same tuners and these sucks, they are not compatible with anything, you'll have to redrill.

As far as I know which the basses I had in my hands!

I just measured the tuner screw hole distance between my 2021 CV Jazz and Player PB and they are different just like you said.

the format of my stock tuners is the same as the HB7s - check yours.
