Well I bought my CV 60s P-Bass on saturday at GC. The guy in charge of the bass department was really cool with me and showed me one in Fiesta Red. It caught my eye the second we walked in the room. It looks identical to Pino Palladino's signature, at 1/6 the price. I was sad to hear it didnt come with a bridge ashtray cover but the guy told me that unlike the Blue model, this one had brass saddles, plus the cover only costs 14 bucks. Being a beginner, this bass is perfect for me. The setup from the shop was perfect and it had good strings on it. I love the pickups on it and the neck feels great on my medium-large hands. I'm kinda new to this club thing so I really don't know how the number thing works. Can I be #69?

Here is mine. Got a new finish a few months ago. The PG is selfmade... Bridge Cover missing on pic. The bass is an incredible machine with a very nice sound. Really like it. It's more than a backup bass to me !!! I'm even thinking of selling my Fender P-bass (MIA 1994) and buy the Squier CV 60s instead...Insane, I know ;-)

I have a small problem. About six months ago I bought a Fiesta Red CV Precision, with the intention that I was going to "Play a little Bass". I'm a guitar player. Since that time I have all but given up playing guitar, as I enjoy the bass so much.

I recently came across a deal on a AV '57 precision in blond and jumped at it. As a result the CV is getting no love. While I really like the bass and its differences from the '57, I can not justify having two such similar instruments.

What is a fair price to ask for the bass? It is in like new condition, I added the proper bridge and pick up cover, changed the cap to a Mallory 150, upgraded the jack, and knobs (push on flat tops). I have a gig bag for it as well.

P.S. This isn't a classified add!

I bought this for camping trips, and now I'm debating on bringing in out in the wilderness. My wife was second-guessing my decision as well. Really dig this bass. May have to get a Bronco for the campfire jams.

Its wearing chromes and has a slimmer neck than my 50sP. My 50s has more thump with the GHS flats and pickup, but I love this bass!
This in a 5 string and it would be my go-to.

My Fiesta J is all over the place depending on the light. The other day I was taking pictures of it as the sun was setting and it went from borderline pink to sort of an orangey red in the course of about 30 minutes.

Picked up a CV 60's P Bass in Fiesta red a couple of months ago. Love it. I put in a Fralin pup, CTS pots, a Switchcraft jack and a good cap of the correct value and it has become one of my favorites (my musicman is my other favorite). My MIM Jazz bass gets pretty much ignored these days, the fit and finish of my CV is far better than my MIM Fender, and the neck is great.

BTW, a standard P bridge cover won't fit over the beefier bridge on the CV Fiesta red P. The bridge is ever so slightly wider than the standard bridge.
