It's too bad the Sonic Blue one doesn't have the brass bridge saddles. That makes the Fiesta Red one just slightly better. I think the FR would look really nice with a cream pickup cover, don't you?

That's a heck of a deal! I paid a little more, but came with a tort guard, chromes and Dunlops.
Someone here on TB has one with a white PG and PU covers - it looked very nice.
My Sonic Blue P arrived today and man is it cool! It has totally scratched my P bass itch. I feel zero GAS for something more upmarket in the P category. This is a truly legit bass.
People talk about the tuners needing upgrading but mine feel smooth and very positive. I detect nothing cheap about them in the way they work.
Nice medium-slim neck profile with no ripples or other weirdness. Nice dark slab of rosewood. Neck feels great in the hand.
Nut is well cut with even string spacing.
Frets are a little smaller than even the vintage wire I'm used to seeing, but they work great. Action and playability is right on the money. No jaggy fret ends on mine, just very smooth.
There's a slight gap in the neck pocket on the bass side. It passes the old Guitar Player business card test though (i.e. you can't slide a standard business card in).
Strings are ever so slightly shifted to the bass side of the neck. I could fix it by moving the neck in the pocket a smidge, but it's not enough to worry about.
Body is the slimmer 1-5/8" thickness versus the 1-3/4" that I prefer. My recently purchased Road Worn is the same way. Maybe that's just the way the world is heading.
Body contours are good with a nice deep ribcage cutaway.
Weight feels about average -- neither light nor heavy. It's a little heavier than my Road Worn, which I think is a little lighter than average.
No flaws in the finish that I see.
Neither strap button is centered on the body edge. They're close but noticeably not quite right.
Pots feel smooth but the volume control makes a slight white noise sound when I adjust it.
Pickguard has nice contours, lies flat, and all the screws are screwed in straight. No sloppy slanty ones.
The bridge cover is impressively thick gauge and is perfectly centered over the bridge.
The tone is huge and has that great piano-like thrrruuummm on the low strings that P basses have. Overall just a really good bass. For $250 used I couldn't be happier.

I found that the neck seems just a bit wide for me. I haven't felt that way about other necks that are 1.625" at the nut, so perhaps it's the width combined with the neck profile that's just a little troublesome for my medium-small hands.

The 60's neck feels noticably thinner than the 50's neck which feels chunky and baseball bat-like. I like them both (I own one of each) but they are different. The 50's with flats and a pick has a really great tone and I don't mind the chunky neck at all. The 60's with flats sounds better fingerstyle. At least for me. They're both really cool for the money!!!
I have chromes on my CV 60's P and with the Fralins it's awesome. Very different for me, but it's perfect for some stuff.

Anyways, to make this post useful, I took my bass to band practice and everyone loved it. Plugged it in and had to turn my amp down from my regular 7 to a 5. The tone is magnificent, especially with the Rotosound Flats I put on it. I mostly play with a pick so I'm gonna buy a pickup cover for it, once I get the 16 bucks
It sounds great when playing every genre my band covers (blues, rock, funk, Pink Floyd ). Its been like 3 weeks since I bought it and I can honestly say that I have no regrets.
Just bought a new 60's P, Pino-style. I am SO happy with this. Played it on a Mesa Boogie amp in GC's bass room, and it sounded better than the MiMs and most of the MiAs. The neck finish is beyond comfortable, it's glossy but soft and not sticky.
Can anyone tell me what pickguard will fit perfectly on a CV Jazz?
Ive just put a MIA black PG on and while it fits as far as screw holes go it has the cut out for the truss rod at the body end so looks silly.
Im thinking a MIM one should fit but thought i would ask before ordering from here

OMG!!! I just went to Sam Ash today and played one of the Classic Vibe P basses.
I am wanting to get a second bass. I do not gig anymore, but I just want another bass. So I wanted to check out something inexpensive. I thougth about a Squire. I first tryed a Pete Wentz P. Not empressed at all. Checked out a couple of other brands. Came back and grabbed a Sonic Blue Vibe. WOW!! I could not stop playing it. The quality was outstanding. Played like butter. So I check out a Mexico built Fender P. Garbage. Put it back. Went back to the Classic Vibe. Man I have got to have one now!!
