Picked up my CV a couple of months back but only this weekend got a chance to put some flats on it and add both a bridge & pick up cover.
Sounds and plays great. Best value for money bass I've ever owned!
I'm torn because I really want a CV Jazz, but I love the look of the red P bass
What's got you torn?
IMHO these Classic Vibe basses are about as close to a no-lose proposition as a bass can get, especially if you buy used. My CV P is so good that it has totally quenched my GAS for a more expensive P.

Buy both. I believe that it's your patriotic duty as a Canadian to own both Red and White basses!![]()
The fact that i've mainly wanted a Jazz bass, but i dislike the colour/neck wood options![]()
I love Olympic White with rosewood - it's a great look. Unfortunately, I already have a MIM Jazz with maple, so I think I'm more in the market for a P-Bass right now.Yeah, if you're not into Olympic White & rosewood you're pretty much out of luck. That's the one weakness with the CV lineup -- no funky color choices for the Jazzes.
Hi guys
Here's my Squier CV which I've attempted to pimp as near as possible to a non-distressed "Pino".
Scratchplate: Fender 62RI (which fits perfectly!!) with full shield
Pickup - Fender 62RI
CTS audio taper pots, switchcraft jack
62RI knobs

Sure, here you go - a funk jam I knocked up just for you.
I played a lot with the tone control turned down as I've just discovered the cool sound it makes ;-)
