Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Bass

My Mocha Tele is my #1 with my big band jazz group, replaced my P bass. I'm using Fender flats, tone down about 50% and sort of going back-and-forth on the foam mute. The mute gets me closer to the upright sound but adds a percussive sound that I'm trying to figure out how to avoid. I really like the bass though, but I'm starting to eyeball the semi-hollowbody options out there that might look a little cooler with a big band group. But not sure about moving to a short scale - they tend to be 30".

Epi Jack Casady is full scale SHB and high cool factor. The mocha tele looks really sweet, though.

You also can loose the jack nut to allow extent the jack socket slightly. Hope help.

I'm going to need to do something. It's really my only gripe with the bass. It's crazy how they can make instruments this good for less than 500 bucks these days. This neck is extremely comfortable. The pickup is interesting. Its really responsive to how hard or soft you pick. You can milk some cool tones out of it. I bet the Fender version is badass. It's a cool bass.
