Have decided to get a Squier P bass. Have found two from the same store (60s CV and Late 50s). Both a good weight and good build. Store is too far for me to compare in person, but the owner has a good reputation for choosing quality basses and has answered all my questions.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried both and has an opinion on which is better? Are they comparable in terms of build quality? I’ll be putting flats on it and my goal is to get that old school soul sound (eg Duck Dunn). Not so bothered about which look is best, but just the overall quality of the bass and pick-ups.

Have attached a photo of each.
