Squier CV 70 Volume Knob Loose

Anyone have this issue or know the answer? My volume knob started turning around without stopping. I looked for the set screw and there is none. I pulled the knob off and only the chrome colored knob came off and there is a black knob on the post. It appears that the chrome piece was glued on, but I don't want to glue it on unless I'm sure that's the fix. Does anyone know?

Also, I don't like this knob. Does anyone know how to get the black knob off the post, so I can get some knobs with set screws?

Two Choices, either glue it or replace it

The black part will pull off. Grab it with pliers and wiggle it as you pull up. Just don’t go gorilla in it.

Knobs come in two sizes, 1/4” and metric. You want metric splined knobs. EBay and Amazon have tons of choices.
