Squier CV Jaguar string ring

Comparatively speaking, I get a LOT of E,D,G ring when playing the A string on my Squier CV Jaguar (and similarly E,D when playing G) than I do on my Fender Mustang and Gretsch Jr Jet. A LOT muting is required. Is this a setup issue?

Probably not. I have one and I think it’s just the type of wood used for the body. It’s very resonant. I made the mistake of putting a high mass bridge on it and it just makes it ring even more. I should have just put a Gotoh 201b on it.

It turned out to be a shielding problem. I shielded the electronics cavities and under the bridge using copper tape and the problem was resolved.
