Reviving this old thread. Any thoughts on putting LaBella White Nylon Tapes on a 2014 Squire Deluxe Dimension V (fiver)? I purchased one online in the UK but will not be there to collect for a couple of months. My other fiver is a Yami BB235 with LaBella Low Tension Flats which I like - especially the 118 B. Looking to expand my tonal arsenal as opposed to just creating a back-up.
I'm a man of a certain age, and so I have old man arthritic hands. I also play old school, blues, etc. My journey has taken me to a couple of short-scale PJ4s, and testing out 5-string allows me to play efficiently above the 5th fret without too much stretch in my fretting hand. (The Dimensions are rare birds in the UK and the prices are coming up again for you owners $$$). Anyway, I like having rare birds around (motorbikes, watches, sailboats), and I do like to be true to the original designers dream with maybe a few mods. Any particular Flats or Tapes you would recommend - or any you would NOT recommend for my application?
Sorry for the long post, and thanks in advance for your responses.
