I'm very interested in hearing more about this one... I wonder if they'll do a left-handed version... My GF wants to learn to play bass and a left-handed one of these would be perfect for her... If they don't plan on offering one, I'll probably just get her one of the SX short-scales with the Jaguar shape...

I would just hunt around for a short scale MIJ Fender from the 80s. Not terribly common, but very possibly a better value than this new Jag if it goes for anything like what the reissued Mustangs go for..

The fact that this Squire is a SHORT SCALE instantly makes it more of a jag than the ones Fender makes/made.
Still though...
I REALLY wish it was EXACTLY like the Fender, in regards to controls and pickup types, but short scale.
I wish i could get my hands on an SX ss Jag to try out against the Squire. I like the idea of a J/J jag opposed to a P/J jag...
If this Jag were only medium scale (32")!! Why aren't there more of those? For those of us with average sized hands it seems like the ideal size.
What about the Bronco?
I see the Bronco as basically a less expensive Musicmaster redo.
I'm with you on the medium scale thing, but those 32s just get no love.
It's almost as bad as being a lefty.
Thank God for the Warmoth Warheads! One of a few reasonably priced medium scales out there.
