I see one on the Guitar Center website.

It's SO BEAUTIFUL! I adore the paint splatter pickguard.
I'm tempted to take the trip up to SF and trade my silver Jag for that one. Or maybe I'll get/make my own paint splatter pickguard. I love it!!
I think I saw a candy apple red one, too.
I would advise going to the luthier rather than Guitar Center....Another update. Since I'm planning to buy new strings, I was advised to wait until I do that to get a setup done. I think I will just take the bass to Guitar Center tonight and see what they can do. Or maybe I can sneak my bass in to that one luthier over my lunch hour - but I have to call and see if they sell electric bass strings. I want to put on chrome flatwounds or black nylon tapewounds.

....
It's kind of scary how fast they are disappearing. THE JAGUARS ARE ENDANGERED!!!
Going Going Go......!I felt like that about the Squier VM Mustangs - but it was worse.
When I found about them they had recently been discontinued, and there were no new ones left.
It took a while to find a used one.
I'd say anyone who wants a Jag SS should grab one now,
and save a lot of hassles down the road.
Rather than trade I would try to acquire.I see one on the Guitar Center website.

Zzounds has very reasonable payments with no credit needed! I feel stock will sell out quickly.I have a nice paycheck coming later in the summer and if there's still silvers around for that $199 price point I'm buying one. I live in San Diego but my old bandmates are in LA -- we just played a few weeks ago, and I was riding up and then had to fly home so the black one is there (along with my FrankenSchechter) -- I won't be able to pick it up till my next trip to LA and I'm already missing it!
That only makes sense, these are wonderful basses for not a lot of money. And now the demand will outstrip the supply....you could actually make money reselling a Squier, but I for one am not getting rid of mine!See, that's what I'm saying -- the prices are going up on the ones that are available.
