Lighter tuners should solve it, maybe a heavier bridge too
Much cheaper solution is to move the back strap button an inch or two north

I bought one of these today and I love it! But, man, that neck dive. Didn't notice it in the store as I was sitting, but once I got it home and put the strap on it, it dove like crazy. Its not that bad, really, but it makes an otherwise awesome bass just a little less awesome.
I keep saying it - strap it like skip...

...works great with shorties.
I had a bass like that and it never felt secure. Like it was going to slide off my shoulders.
I fixed it! I moved the back strap button up a couple inches and put the one from the horn on the underside of the neck plate area. Looks a little weird, but its perfectly balanced now. Yay! Commence rocking!

How 'bout a pic or two for dense guys like me?
I'm having some issues with my Jaguar. I'm already planning on doing the magnet mod for the weak j pickup, but has anyone had trouble with their P pickup being too hot? Or something. It distorts really badly, especially on the E. I've turned the gain on my amp down as far as it will go, and lowered the pickups as far as they would go, and still it distorts. Is this just a trait of P pickups? I've only played a jazz in the past.
Would a change of pickups help? I'm already getting new strings. Medium gauge, as it came with some pretty light ones. What would the next step be?
P90 - so a fix is to keep the P-Pup volume knob from going too high? Interesting.
Any amp that distorted from the output of a passive pickup would be straight in the dumpster.
Is the jag neck the same as the bronco neck aside from wood?
