Here's my addition to the club. I've made a few mods after this pic, but this is the beginning. (Looks like I already had added D'Addario Chromes.)

Anyone have any suggestions for a portable stand for these basses?

I love this stand, but it doesn't work for the offset body of the Jag.

Just noticed the tone control doesn't do anything on mine. If I listen really closely I can hear a very slight change in tone, but nothing close to the difference on the videos I've seen and what I would expect.

Anyone else get one of these with a faulty tone pot? I guess I'll have to see who Kraft Music (who I bought it from) wants to deal with it.

Have a question someone in here may be able to answer. I have a Fender 78 MusicMaster neck and was looking for a body I can take and mod that this neck would be able to bolt on. Anyone know if this would work?

I believe that the MusicMaster neck is wider than the Jag SS neck pocket.

I have a neck from one of the Samick Corsair mated with a Westone body, it is the most comfortable neck (for me) that I have ever played!

I should probably pick up a Corsair before they stop making them.

The Samick plays very smooth indeed. I will keep it as my backup bass.

I think we're in a bit of a backlog with regard to number assignments, last number I saw was 198, so once altGrendel gets around to it, it looks like:

Put on a '80s solid bridge I got for my Corsair and exchanged the knobs. The original ones "feel" cheap and thin. The Corsair knobs are solid. I think they look good on the Jag.

Been on the fence until now...Found a Sunburst SS with a 15W Rumble Package, for $229??? Found it on Reverb tonight after GC and Sam Ash are all out locally and online. Sweetwater and Musicians friend out also. Came across a listing on Reverb. A bit skeptical my first time purchasing on Reverb. Says its new and coming from IA. Used PayPal just in case. Let the short scale experiment begin! At least I can get rid of a Sunburst a little quicker if need be right? For $229 Im still scratching my head...Sunburst, Amp and all the little extras. Maybe it's meant to be...will keep you posted.

My Squier Jazz had the same problem. I 'fixed' it by unscrewing the control plate, pulling it out to have a jolly good look at the wires, before screwing it all back together. It's worked ever since!

It's well know that threatening to throw an electronic device against the wall will often cause it to wise up and get its act together.
