Hey all! Can I join in on the fun?

I've got a 2008 Squier Vintage Modified 70's Jazz Bass. My daughter picked it up (and a Rumble amp) for Christmas for me, so yes, still a newbie. Also have a Dean Edge 09 for a 'beater' bass.

Update: I was never in love with the fretless Jazz neck, and I always preferred the shape of a P neck, so I bought a Squier CV Precision neck and bolted it on. Also painted the pickguard Inverness Green Metallic for a different vibe.
Been gigging it the last few months and really dig how it sits in the mix in a full band context. Also, it's super light which makes 3-4 hour gigs much more pleasant.

It was a really nice bass - I didn't realize it at the time, I guess... Loved the neck.

The Duncan Designed pickups were surprisingly good.

I love my Squier CV 5 70's I prefer this instrument in some situations better than Fender MM5. I like to have similar bass with dark board and blocks...Is there some Squier 5 string Jazz with rosewood & blocks board on the way?

This is my recent purchase:
Squier CV 60s Jazz Bass. I just changed the pickguard.

I just bought a nicely upgraded Squier Paranormal Jazz Bass. I like it! It has the high mass bridge and fender original usa jazz bass pick ups. Sounds exactly like i'd expect from a decent jazz bass, but for less than half the price of a standard USA model.
