You realize of course yussipee that as a member of this club you are obligated to post pictures of the pickguard on your Vista when you get it.
Plus it would be nice, but not obligatory, if you added other info, such as price and where members of the club - particularly me - could get one...
I don't make the rules, I just enforce them

This pickguard was made by Jeannie's pickguards in the US, but was for sale in Spain. I was the only bidder, so I got it for a very reasonable price from a very nice seller.

I'm here to confess. It's been nine months since I last purchased a Vista. That is, until about five minutes ago. New white one arriving this week! Now the question becomes which do I like better, the one I have or the one coming? We'll see. It'll be a tall order for the challenger. I've grown rather fond of the white one that I have. Either way, there will soon be a white one on the market...

I've actually found that 5mm is a tighter fit. I have a truss rod nut that's a bit rounded and I'm trying to find a 5.5mm at the local shop to see if I can get it to turn.
I just realized that I never came back with an update on the new acquisition. The new white one is a great looking bass. Way better shape than mine. I'm gonna put in some time getting it setup properly and see which one I'll keep. If the challenger plays as well as the old one I'll be making a swap. There's only one small chip in the finish and it gives away a secret: this white bass used to be blue. We'll see which wins.
As luck would have it, I also found another black one for a good price. This one is also in very nice shape (only a couple minor dings). I've already decided to sell it, though. This is a purely cosmetic decision. While the newer bass is nicer in the paint, the old one has one of the darkest rosewood fretboards I've ever seen. I love how it blends with the black paint. It's always been a complaint of mine that so many black basses have lightly colored rosewood boards. To me they just clash. I'll try to get a picture of the two side by side.
