I know it's not a Squier but I saw these pictures of Dee Dee with a Musicmaster.
Just to mention, there is a black Vista Musicmaster in the Bay UK. With powerful replacement pickup (even more powerful than the original???) plus original pickup on top...
Hi all, I've just acquired another lovely Vista MM.... However, the neck needs a bit of relief taking out of it.
Been through my box of loads of allen keys, but struggling to find one that fits the truss rod.
Could somebody who knows, please advise the right size?

I don't know if it is 4 or 5 millimeter but I am fairly certain it is metric. Sorry I can't be more help, but my Vista is not available for inspection right now.
Thanks...will try to find a 4mm & 5mm to see if it works
Hi all,
New arrival of a sonic blue or maybe almost sea foam green Vista to keep the pink & blue ones company...
It needs a bit of TLC, and a set up.
Oiled the fretboard, which was a bit dry.
There's a bit too much relief in the neck, which I can fix when I eventually find the correct allen key
.
The pickup has a short. It makes a sound, but has a real nasally 'clanky' tone with a weak output, and no interaction with the tone control. Measures 0 on the multimeter. So I've sent it off for a repair/rewind to original spec.s
Will also shield it, and rewire with CTS pots & switchcraft socket.
Otherwise, cosmetic condition is pretty good, with only a few minor chips on the rear of the body. Neck's OK - no dinks & frets have virtually no wear. With a little work, this has got potential to be as good as the the other two & be a great little tone beast

Amazing how many TB members own one of these and want to be in this group. Fender/Squier should retire the Bronco and bring back the MM with the features of this model. Sell it for $299 in various colors, with both maple and rosewood boards. Same for the 6-string.Congratulations patzilla83! You are member No. 85! And the best possible color

Agree, although I much prefer rosewood fretboards.
The pre-1978 MM pickguard (no neck hugging) is the best ever IMO. If it was available at reasonable prices in Europe I'd give my Bronco one. Let's keep these threads going, maybe Fender will come to its senses.
Opinions on pricing for a vista in 2022? There's a black model for 550 near me and a sonic blue for 700 but prices seem to be all over the place on ebay/reverb.
I'd say it depends on the condition. Those are not unreasonable prices for well kept instruments, fully functioning and minimal blemishes. The blue one is worth more than the black, all else being equal.
If you can even find them. I did recently at a pawnshop. I don't think they knew what they had. $350.00 Canadian dollars with OHSC (at least I think it's original).
