Squier Owners Club

Picked this "P" Bass up a couple of weeks ago and it was DIRTY, Rusty and Nasty yet in good shape.

Pulled off the strings which were full of cat hair and scrubed it with Windex, sos pad, and lubed the moving metal parts.
Checked the wiring and other than a scratchy tone pot everything was good and working..well was missing one knob.

Spent some time playing it and it it has a great tone with both pickups and one at a time.

$150 CDN with a hard case.

A very cool P with Jazz pups!

\m/ Iron Maiden \m/ reference ftw!

what Iron Maiden reference... the "I am not a number I am a free man" thing came from "The Prisoner"

"Where am I?"
"In the Village."
"What do you want?"
"Information."
"Whose side are you on?"
"That would be telling…. We want information. Information! INFORMATION!"
"You won't get it."
"By hook or by crook, we will."
"Who are you?"
"The new Number Two." (This occasionally varies — see below.)
"Who is Number One?"
"You are Number Six."
"I am not a number — I am a free man!"
(Laughter from Number Two.)

ps. Not sure if the youtube is correct, can't view it at work but found it via google

Maybe so, but Iron Maiden popularized it in their song 'The Prisoner'

:-P

Perhaps but some of us have never heard this song by Iron Maiden. I recognized this as "The Prisoner" series. Until I read your post I had no idea that Iron Maiden did a song based on that TV series. Mayeb "popularized" is not the cirrect term. LOL :hiding:

i got a squire-P on Tuesday at a local pawn shop
had serious neck bow
i felt like robin hood
but i was able to talk them down to a good price
i brought it to a local guitar store because i did not even want to fathom what i would a do if i over turned the truss rod
so while i was i had them put some flats (i normally do it myself but it was free when you bought strings and it was already there)
got it back on the way to band practice
sounded great and band members agreed
ill post pictures and proof read this in the morning
