squier p bass refin/upgrade

my agenda is the following

~add a jazz pup
~trippy paint job
~refret
~compplete cleaning(got it used... its filthy)

so i got into bass almost half a year ago and have used this bass the entire time and now that i know that i want to stick with it i went to look for a new bass and just couldn't find one that i liked half as much as this one--expect a vintage fender modifid fretless but it was $300-- so i'm going to upgrade this bass

Yeah, I've got one of those almost done painting now. I do like some of the Squiers very much.

Mine came in all grungy with rusty strings and all. I had to go through straightening the neck twice, but that might be my fault. The finish was harder than the wood so stripping it was a challenge but I think it's going to be quite nice when it's done.

And of course since I adopted it from firewood, it'll have my DNA all over it.
