Someone has a mid 90s Squier pbass for sale near me. I wanted to know how these are. Good, some years better than others? I had similar year Squier Strat that was pretty good.

Squier Pbass

They are not that good, and for some reason they hold their value really well. I have been playing Squier Basses a long time now and they got really good after the mid 2000s with the inclusion and improvement of some series; mainly the Classic Vibe, Vintage Modified and the Contemporary series. Before that Squier was held as a cheap guitar manufacturer with crappy basses (and trust me, they were). I have not seen the bass, but I would not bet on spending money on a 20 plus year old bass that is from limited quality, when you can buy a used bass from the newer series that I can bet sound even better than the on your are looking at.
