anyone got one?

went downtown today and my local shope got one in used the intonation had been set by them had 1 ding and some scratches on the pickguard, the mudbucker was a different sound from my MIM fender p with quater pounders in it , alot deeper and muddier

well i got the bass and a chipboard cheap-o bass case for 150$:)

seemed like an all right deal to me i dig it stock it was between this or an SX and this bass is way to cool:hyper:

Any of the VM series Squiers age a good deal at their retail price, they become killers deals when you get them for $150.

I picked up my VM fretless off craigslist for $150 with a small Peavey amp that I eventually flipped for $75...killer little bass.

ha yea i dig it , i did buy a MIM squier last week for 80$ sold it tho for 100$ cuz it did not cut it against my other P

but i think this bass is a great value i may refinish the neck for a glossier feel

i dont have that exspensive of bass a heavily modifed MIM p bass but i have played some nice basses and been playing for 6 years everyday som i know the feel and quality

this bass feels good as people say its the "honeymoon" period yes but the quality is good excpet it has plastice strap pins W T F squier thats dumpy but hey gotta cut cost somewhere and i put straplocks on my basses anyways

150$ spent well in my book

I bought one last August. Nice neck but the sound just didn't do it for me so I traded it in for a Yamaha BB414. If I had several basses, I'd probably still have it but IMO, it's not the bass to have if you only own one instrument..

yea it has one sound its just nice to have something other than a p bass i was gassing for a humbucker bass

maybe a jazz routed in by the bridge with its own voulum control :)

i needa router

man i got up an hour early today so i could play it before school:bassist:

i have had alot of other basses but i like messing around on this

at this rate it will be a relic in a year :p

i really dont see a reason to replace anything except putting strap locks on it

i played some nirvana tunes on it and t worked well for that

I have one that I am modifying to be a backup for my '51 RI... While it sounded great stock played solo, the bass didn't work well for my band needs... I gave away the electronics and it's on the bench waiting to go unde the knife...

You are right on the quality... I have many 'nicer' basses, but this is definitely a player!!

what kind of mods and you doing to yours?
i see the bass as a black canvas mod board plank of some sort ha there is plenty of room for it

the neck on mine although i wash my hands alot, yes i am clean ;) the neck gets kinda dirty looking i think this beast will be a relic with time

i may throw a bridge cover on it but IDK because i play with a pick and rest my hand on the bridge

I purchased a mint Squier Tele Precision 2 days ago off of CL with a Levy's gig bag and a set of DR Low Riders for $150. The bass seems to sit nicely in the mix at band practice and has a deep THUMP that I really enjoy. My only quibble is the neck finish - not uncomfortable, but different from a glossy neck, which I guess i PREFER. All in all, a great, cheap instrument that has a different sound than any other bass I own.

I got one late last year, not as cheap as yours, but I got a discount for the same things, ding in the pickguard, scratch on the back.

Nifty bass, really is, neck is awesome, I added a thumbrest where the P pickup would be, and a three way coil tap, for tonal options. Love it, finger style, deep, deep thump, picked got that agresive picked P snarl, only deeper.
