Squire made in Japan

Hello Everyone,

I just acquired a 1984 JV Series '57 Reissue Squier Precision Bass, 2TSB, Serial JV899**. Loving it!

Can't stand the single ply white scratch plate, though. Would love a 3 ply black/white/black replacement, but having a lot of trouble sourcing a genuine Japanese part. Japanese Fender parts are not available to Australian Fender retailers.

I tried a US Fender scratch plate which lined up on all except the top left hole. The pot cutouts are also oversized.

From my reading to date, the Squier bass scratch plates are different to 'standard' reissues, as well as the Japanese pickup pots being smaller.

Can anyone suggest a webshop, or any other ideas?

(I'm not interested in modifying a US scratch plate.)

I took the pots off to remove the scratch plate. The bass is immaculate.

Thank you.
