Squire vintage modified jazz bass 5 string

hi everyone, I just noticed today that this was available and I always wanted the 4 string version but instead purchased a MIM fender DLX, so I decided to order it! Im just telling you guys this because I know people have been pretty curious about this bass and it appears to have came out just recently and people are buying them up fast! there were only 2 left in stock on Amazon!?

Well I was wondering if any of you guys have one and if so whats your take on it? :]

Thanks Everyone! Once I get it id be happy to answer any questions you might leave in the comment box!

I bought this bass about a week ago, as I stopped playing a year ago after my Mom passed. I've played over 30 years & wanted to get something economical to get my chops back on. I started on a 60's Pre CBS Jazz, & have owned Spector NS2, Warwick Thumb, & several high end basses. I have to be honest, its a basic passive jazz bass, but the one I have has tone for days man. I can get nasty slap funk, deep jazz or James Jamerson fingerstyle, and it can can give nice Jaco tones too & should accommodate any musical style:bassist. It is a heavy bass, as was my Warwick Thumbbass, and has basic controls. Alot of cats are putting in preamps & new bridges & tuners. I haven't had any problems as of yet. It stays in tune for me, I lowered the tuning a whole step after putting on a set of DR Marcus Miller Fat beams. Alot of bang for the buck. The block inlays & binding add that nice 70's vibe to it. I wish it came in black. Check it out. Peace:bassist:
