Chuck Sher publishes my book, WALKING BASSICS:The Fundamentals of Jazz Bass Playing.
This popped up again (tenor player takes it down every once in a while for a few years)....really enjoyed working with the drummer Joe Smith (who I think is in Germany now?), Jon and I still play when we're both in the same city. Kate and Tony moved out west and have a large bird sanctuary there. This group was a lot fun to work with, although I didn't appreciate it as much at the time. But it's nice to hear what I sounded like almost 30 years ago....

You still have that big, full sound. Very fluid uptempo playing as well. Is that mic on the bass or just a great amp sound that many years ago? The mustache would fit in these days as well.
Coincidentally, this came up today in a discussion. One year later than your video, but I believe it is my earliest "official" recording. Braxton style composition/improvisation mix. I am bit more green than you, but the kernels are there! This could be a cool, bigger thread, actually!
