Reading through these responses, I've seen a lot of great comments - @two fingers you sir are a class act and thanks for the congrats! - and a lot of comments that pretty much ignored my question entirely only to recommend I quit my band, job or just not protect my identity at all. I've picked a new last name for my stage name, which well alleviate some of the awkwardness as my colleagues will still refer to me with the same first name. Just to clarify, my employer has not made any mention of social media requirements, however my position undoubtedly requires social network anonymity on the entertainment side of things. My decision to do this is based solely on my own judgment. For those who provided insight, thanks so much.
