Double Bass Stagg Deluxe vs. BabyBass KB2

KK's instruments seem to be of much better quality than Stagg.
That said, the Baby Bass (all brands) is mostly intended for latin/salsa music.
It may be less multipurpose than a Stagg.

Thanks, Eub ;)

I've heard that too... I would actually like a little more sustain as well, if possible (although I have hard most EUB's have more sustain than an AUB) as I like to play jazz (like Cassandra Wilson) as well and I have heard the Stagg 'sounds' more like an AUB

I also like that the Baby comes with an ebony fretboard, as opposed to the rosewood on the Stagg deluxe version - although I am not sure that really makes a huge difference in sound...

cheers,
Dan

Ebony will make a difference
Brighter and more growl
The main factor would the the strings
I did some research and ordered the KK
I was gonna order the Warwick triumph, but it is very hard to get for some reason.
So I decided to go for the KK
Looks like it is made way better than the stagg or palatino.

I don't know the Baby Bass or the Warwick but the Stagg is not that bad in quality. At least my Stagg RDL isn't. OK, you get what you pay for but overall I think the Stagg has an almost unbeatable price/quality ratio.

The rosewood FB is definitely a huge upgrade from the earlier painted Stagg FB. Maybe an ebony would be even better but as long as they don't make those... The sustain on my Stagg is very long, a lot longer than on my AUB (both with the same Evah Pirazzi Weich strings).

Good luck on your choice!
