Double Bass Stagg or palatino eub?

I've been looking at the stagg EUB and the palatino (which I think is the same as a Harley Benton) as a starter bass but I'm really not sure which to get. What are the pros and cons of each? Most importantly, which sounds better?

I might see if I can get bonners (my local music store) to get both in, but I wouldn't buy from them coz they're expensive, so that might not work :S

Best is to try them and decide which pleases you most.

I'll try both (if I can) if not I'll order the stagg and fiddle with it. If I like it I'll keep it, if not I'll try the palatino

Yeah, playing preference is such a personal thing that it's tough to make a blanket recommendation. That youtube video is interesting though. Has me thinking about a Palatino as a backup...
