GC has apparently granted it a reprieve…

However, there is still the “don’t you dare” list…

I don’t know about you all, but some of those I’ve never heard played/mangled.

In the age where Kurt Cobain has been deified and martyrized, the new 'Stairway' is Smells Like, while Enter Sandman is the new Smoke on the Water. Does anyone even know these songs anyway???

Plug that guitar into something with Delay on it and you'll hear "Lateralus" by Tool as well.

When I played guitar WAY more frequently, I'd do the solos from "In a Big Country" or "Love Gun" if I was trying to show off. I didn't peak too high on guitar :bag:

All I know is every time I've gone into a store to try a bass, somebody's ahead of me with the bad slap/pop-itis. I never hear them play anything with fingers or a pick, just Ping!Pang! and on and on.

They're not very good and it's just aggravating.

I finally got to sit down with one and I was noodling around feeling it out, and played the riff from 'Black Dog', and this kid got all big-eyed came over to watch me, and said 'I didn't know anyone could really play that'.

I handed it to him and left.

I was shopping for a keyboard one day and there was this guy playing really poorly in the bass section, I gave him a quick glance then turned on my filter. About 20 mins later I was pulled out of my focus by the most impressive drumming I have heard in a music store... it was the bass mangler. I admit I would not have enjoyed playing with this guy, it was the busiest overplaying I had ever heard, the kind where you have to focus to jump in, but he was tight. He could really play. I probably would have asked him to leave if I worked there, I couldn't think straight with him on drums.

Sound like a Keith Moon fan?

Anyone going to Guitar Center does not care for "Stairway" or has never heard it, and they definitely can not play it.
Anyone that can play "Stairway" does not go to Guitar Center.

"Stairway" has been a non issue for quite a few years.
You might want to get out of your own little bubble now and then, as this is comically inaccurate. The world is a better place than you think.
