Standard Deviations Teaser (electronica)

Here's a teaser track from the upcoming Phamos album, Standard Deviations. It's still a work in progress, but most of the rough tracks are done. The full album will available for free download towards the end of August.

Phamos is the handle I use when working as a producer in my small project studio. Let me know what you think. I'm willing to share photos and my production methods with anyone whose interested.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get a website up and running for downloads; definitely a myspace. I also need an artist who'd be willing to help with the graphic design work.

I'd like to keep my identity anonymous, as I'm a school teacher and some of the song themes are controversial.

Enjoy!

OK, so I got it burned and listened to it.

Some interesting ideas. I found some of the songs fell flat when you changed direction near the end of them. I think it would've worked better if you'd changed direction shortly before the vocal section that cued the change, instead of after. JMO of course ;)

Was that ALL done on bass (minus the drums/vocs of course)? I feel that you did some amazing stuff with wah/filters :D Especially with some of the odd timings. Fun-kee!!!! :bassist: It really kept me listening :D

I give it a 4/5: :hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hiding:

Thanks for the comments Mr. "Bearded" Tulip.
Yeah, most of the strings are bass. I was inspired by the Ruiner Severhead stuff. I don't think I'm on the same level as a certain Mr. Severhead, but I'm proud of my effort, nonetheless!

I agree with your criticism re: the changes toward the end of the songs. Becuase I had to work so fast, I fell into using the same arrangement. I think I did all the rhythm tracks in like three or four days.

Did you end up getting the track list? I think I posted the graphics in my other thread for the album, which has the tracks listed.
