Stankevicius guitars/basses

They also had some gorgeous acoustics. Wish they showed a few more electrics on the website.

It's always interesting to see what's going on in other countries. Ernest Germanovic seems to big in the Russian/Lithuanian market... I guess when they name a model of a bass after you it's something to say about your playing. Nice !!!

You can post pics of the build progress of your instruments if we want,.....
But you and Ernie paid full price for your instruments?
Which is it?
Well obviously Ernest has the pictures as Vadim (luthier) sent them to him. So if someone wants to see them I can ask and share :) And yes, we paid full price for our instruments. Ernest bass was made 4 years ago :)

Ah, I misheard the bit at the end of the video. I thought YOU had built the guitars and were looking for business. I apologize.

And as Mr. Thorn said, Great playing.
The only "business" we have is that Vadim said that he would make a discount as like a special promotion for the video. So I talked about it at the end of the video :) Thanks!

Yeah Ernest is one of the best players in the country. And yes Vadim primarily makes Gipsy jazz acoustics. They are gorgeous. Since he has skill to make great basses and electrics, we wanted to show his instruments as they play and sound amazing, at least in my humble opinion. And Thank you!

Hey guys,

We just released a demo song of my new Stankevicius guitar and my friends Ernest bass. I can share some pictures of in progress later if you want. How do you like the bass and the tone? :) let me know if you would like to see the pictures of the making process :)

Wow they both look really great, really enjoyed the playing too! I’d love to see more build photos or just more photos.

Bass looks great. But, it would look so much better with out that ramp that eats up more than half the body.

Roscoe inspired, certainly; but calling it a clone of an SKB seems a bit far fetched. Neither horn looks like an SKB. If anything, the top horn is more LG than SKB, but it's not as extreme in it's offset as an LG. Also, the body size is much larger, like a Century, but looks nothing like a Century. But I definitely get a Roscoe vibe, and I dig it.

@spuogis I checked out the luthier’s IG, and I gotta say he is definitely one talented cat. Some beautiful work, indeed! Enjoy that bass...and post more vids :bassist:

The tone is OK - I'd prefer a little more articulation on the bass (and a bit higher in the mix), but the tone you have is closer to what shows up in most recordings - maybe it's just me.
